Are the paints safe?
Yes, we only use professional-grade face paints from reputable brands that are tested and nontoxic. If you have any allergies, please do let us know before being painted, and if you are concerned, we can do a patch test before applying any products to the face. If you would like to see full ingredients lists for any of our products, please do ask.
What about the glitter?
We only use cosmetic grade glitter which is safe for use on the skin and will not damage the eyes (please try not to rub it in your eyes though, it is not dangerous but would be uncomfortable!) Our chunky glitters are all biodegradable and plastic free, so you can sparkle guilt free!
How do I remove the paint?
We use water soluble paints, a simple flannel and warm water should remove most of the colour. If there is any pigment remaining, any gentle soap, makeup remover or baby oil should remove it. For chunky glitter, many people find it easier to gently scrape it off with the edge of a credit card or similar, before washing with water. For both paints and glitter, always wipe away from the eyes.
Is face painting just for kids?
Absolutely not- we paint anyone that wants to be painted from age 2-112! Face painting is a popular addition to hen parties, festivals and even weddings. We also offer chunky glitter designs for a bit of grown-up glitz and glamour.
Is there anyone you won't paint?
We cannot paint under 2s or anyone that doesn't want to be painted. We also can't paint anyone with open wounds, runny nose, cold sores, chicken pox, or any other infectious disease. In some cases we may be able to offer an arm design instead.
Do you have a license?
Face painting is an unregulated industry, so there are no licenses. However, we are fully insured and DBS checked so you can trust us to be professional and safe, and to give you and your guests a great experience!
Please send us an email with any other queries and we'll be happy to answer!
