Photograph Policy

We will not take photos of anyone without verbal consent from the person being painted and/or a responsible adult with them. Photos will be used without names on this website and on the Chibby Paints social media pages. If at any point you change your mind, you can contact us by email or phone, and we will immediately delete all relevant photos and social media posts. 

Booking Fees

We require a non-refundable booking fee of 20% of the total cost in order to secure the booking slot. In case of cancellation of your event we will not refund this fee but we will make every effort to be flexible and work with you to find an alternative date.

The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

Clients' names and contact details

Photographs of customers, taken with verbal consent, with no names attached to them

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

Providing a quote for a private event

Attending an event to provide face painting services

Receiving payment for face painting services 

(in the case of photos) for advertising online

We use the information that you have given us in order to contact you with a quote, and if applicable to keep in contact in advance of an event.

We will not share this information with anyone else. 

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting Libby Williams (see above). 

How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored. 

We keep contact details for 2 years after your last contact with us. We will then dispose your information by deleting your client file, and any emails between us. 

We will keep photos for 5 years, after which we will delete them and destroy any physical copies. 

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
